The Invisalign Process

The process of Invisalign is simple. First you will need to find an Invisalign Dentist. Finding the right dentist may be difficult as not all dentists will fulfill your requirements such asopening times and costs. Find out more on Finding an Invisalign Dentist.

Once you have found an Invisalign Dentist that suits your needs, you will need to make a visit and have your teeth examined by the specialist. When you begin your treatment, a ClinCheck will be created for you. ClinCheck is a 3D video that demonstrates the series of movements that your teeth will go through as the treatment progresses. The video will show your current teeth position to the final desired position. The patient will see how the final expected results of the teeth will look like at the end of the treatment. Once you're happy with the changes shown on the ClinCheck, custom fit aligners will be created for you. This can take several weeks to complete. You're then required to wear the aligners approximately 20–22 hours a day, except whilst eating, brushing teeth, flossing teeth or for specific occasions. Traditional braces generally take 9 - 24 months to complete treatment. Invisalign completes treatment in less time; an average Invisalign course of treatment takes about a year. You will need to see your dentist every 6 to 8 weeks for adjustments and to check progress. Every two weeks, you will be asked to wear a new set of custom clear aligners to continue the straightening process.
